The stopper and bottle measure approximately 6.5 inches tall and 2.5 inches across. This would be a great addition for any apothecary. Made in the USA. Throughout history, poison bottles were made in unique shapes and colors to distinguish them from food or medicine bottles. Skulls were commonly used as they are the most recognized symbol of death. The pirate flag's skull and crossbones was often used on poison labels staring in the mid 1800s. Toward the end of the century, bottles were embossed with this image. We sculpted our own version of a poison bottle stopper that is reminiscent of old time anatomical illustrations or artistic studies of the human body.
